All Four Questions were answered within this Video. Final Task Script Let’s Get Started! "Welcome to my series of ‘Get Ready With Me' video. As I prepare to pierce my ear, get ready for work, and take a meal break at work, I'll be reflecting on the creation of my short film for my media studies class. This film tells the story of a girl who meets a guy in her friend group at the beginning of summer vacation, and their evolving relationship over the season." Question #1:   How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent social groups or issues? One of the conventions I wanted to use in my film was the classic summer romance trope. This cliché is a staple of romantic comedies, evoking a sense of nostalgia and warmth. By incorporating this trope, I aimed to create a familiar and relatable story for my audience." However, I also wanted to challenge this convention by adding a twist to the typical summer romance story. The guy's sudden

The Final Task Finish Line

I'm thrilled to share the wonderful journey of our filming process with everyone. It's been incredibly rewarding, filled with moments of joy and excitement. While I may not have been the most skilled cameraperson, I'm proud of the quality of our shots. Using my phone as the main filming tool, I facilitated efficient collaboration by sharing clips in our group chat for editing distribution. This method streamlined our workflow and ensured equal editing responsibilities for everyone. One aspect that particularly stood out to me was the freedom to unleash my creativity once we had captured all the essential angles. Experimenting with different camera angles and techniques was both exhilarating and fulfilling. Despite occasional mishaps from my teammates, the ability to retake shots effortlessly contributed to a smooth filming process. Choosing vibrant park and beach settings added a captivating backdrop to our footage. The vivid colors and dynamic scenery further enhanced the

Hello everyone! Welcome back to the blog. Today, I'll be sharing insights into the initial editing phase of our Final Task project. After collecting footage from my group members, I organized it into a single album and imported it into our editing app. Instead of immediately focusing on title design, I first created rough edits to establish a cohesive draft of the Final Task. This involved removing bloopers, low-quality clips, and unnecessary footage. Once the rough draft was complete, I began experimenting with effects. Although I initially faced challenges and had to watch several tutorials, I gradually improved my editing skills. While there's still more editing to do and additional parts to film, I'm committed to continuing to learn and refine my techniques. Despite the initial difficulties, each attempt at using the editing tools brought me closer to mastery. As I became more familiar with the software, I discovered new ways to enhance the footage. The process of refin

Editing & Capcut Features

Hey bloggers! Welcome back. I have some new information to share with you all. I've been exploring Capcut and familiarizing myself with its features. While I haven't started editing yet, I wanted to delve into the app's capabilities. I've used Capcut for other projects and videos in the past, so I'm familiar with its basic functions. However, I hadn't previously explored all of its options and features. The app's basics are easy to grasp, and I find them more helpful compared to iMovie, which is limited to Apple devices. Capcut offers features that enhance the editing process. One feature I discovered is the video stabilizer, which can correct minor shaking in footage, resulting in smoother, more professional-looking videos. Additionally, I've changed my camera settings to 4k - 60, which complements the stabilizer and improves video quality. Another feature I'll be utilizing is the cinematic mode on my phone's camera, which keeps the main subje

Lessons Learned!

Hey everyone! We're back with another update, this time taking you behind the scenes of the editing process for our Final Task project. After filming wrapped up on Fort Lauderdale Beach (those summer vibes are coming in strong!), it was time to turn all that footage into something magical. The first step involved gathering all the clips from my amazing group members. We created a shared album to make it easy, and then it was game on! Instead of jumping straight into fancy title cards, I decided to focus on building a solid foundation. Think of it like laying the groundwork for a house – you wouldn't decorate before the walls are up, right? So, I started by creating a rough cut of the entire Final Task. This meant going through all the footage, clip by hilarious clip, and weeding out any bloopers, shaky bits, or anything that just didn't quite fit the flow. Let's just say there were some interesting outtakes that didn't make the final cut! Once I had a clean, cohe

Hey Bloggers! Welcome back. We've made some progress to share. Sloane, Stella, Noah, Dalilah, and Alyssa planned to visit the park after school to film a few shots for one of the date scenes in our project. Unfortunately, I couldn't attend due to work. They headed to the park's soccer fields and captured clips of Noah and Dalilah playing soccer and enjoying themselves. Noah and Dalilah are a real-life couple, which is why we chose them for this project. Using other people, especially in our age group, might have been more challenging. Personally, I tend to get shy and freeze up when on camera, and Dalilah is also quite shy. So, we tried to make her discomfort less noticeable during filming, resulting in a more natural and unforced performance. Noah is similar in this regard. As Noah and Dalilah goofed around and played soccer, we discreetly recorded them, capturing their spontaneous hugs and giggles. They also filmed additional shots with Sloane and Stella, creating a scene
