Welcome to the production blog for "Summer Romance," a romantic comedy short film created by Alyssa, Stella, Sloane, and me.. Shadae. We are thrilled to share our journey as we bring this story to life! "Summer Romance" follows a girl who meets a guy in her friend group at the beginning of summer vacation, leading to a budding romance that is tested when he unexpectedly leaves by the end of summer. Our film will be set in two main locations: the beach and downtown, chosen for their scenic beauty and vibrant atmosphere. To capture the magic of "Summer Romance," we will be using the iPhone 14 Pro for filming. Aligning everyone's schedules has been challenging, as we all have work or extracurricular activities, but we are dedicated to finding the perfect filming days. Each team member plays a crucial role in the production, with Alyssa as director, Stella as cinematographer, Sloane assisting with props and costumes, and im in charge of script supervision and editing. During the pre-production phase, we have been hard at work on scriptwriting, storyboarding, and location scouting. After a thorough casting process, we are thrilled to announce our talented cast, who will bring our characters to life. Costumes and props have been carefully selected to reflect the characters' personalities and enhance the storytelling. Our filming schedule includes multiple days at the beach and downtown, aiming for a relaxed and natural feel. One of the main challenges we faced was aligning schedules, which we overcame using a scheduling app to find overlapping availability. Safety measures will be followed during filming, especially in public areas, to ensure the safety of our cast, crew, and the public. "Summer Romance" is being managed carefully to deliver a high-quality film. Once filming is complete, we will move into the post-production phase, including editing and sound design. We plan to promote "Summer Romance" through social media and film festivals, exploring distribution options to reach a wider audience.   Hey everyone! We're back with another update, this time taking you behind the scenes of the editing process for our Final Task project. After filming wrapped up on Fort Lauderdale Beach (those summer vibes are coming in strong!), it was time to turn all that footage into something magical. The first step involved gathering all the clips from my amazing group members. We created a shared album to make it easy, and then it was game on! Instead of jumping straight into fancy title cards, I decided to focus on building a solid foundation. Think of it like laying the groundwork for a house – you wouldn't decorate before the walls are up, right? So, I started by creating a rough cut of the entire Final Task. This meant going through all the footage, clip by hilarious clip, and weeding out any bloopers, shaky bits, or anything that just didn't quite fit the flow. Production Blog - Just getting started!

  Hey bloggers. As of right now, we're trying to figure out what we're going to do and how we'll plan for our music video. We won't have costumes that stand out but most likely an outfit that would match well with the original music video. When it comes to where we might film, our options are either school or scenes to represent a "city". For example, many tall buildings. Places with a lot of people and colors. I do have work and Alyssa usually has to watch my brother after school so it's going to be a bit tricky to find an exact time but we are talking about it and trying to make it work. Eventually, we will find some time that is convenient for both of us. The only "props" that we'd use in a sense would be our phones to record but I'm not so sure that would be considered a prop.
